ABOUT

I am an artist who was inspired to set up Pebbly Beach Dog Art due to my lifetime love of dogs and art. Dogs are such a diverse species and I enjoy capturing the unique personality and characteristics of each.

I live with two golden retrievers, Sandy and Otter, and a rough collie called Bonnie, and alongside inspiration from them from the age of six I have spent many hours studying, drawing, reading and writing about dogs and draw on this knowledge to create my artwork.

Pebbly Beach Dog Art is named after our first golden retriever's kennel name. Pebble introduced me to my love of dogs and the logo of this site is of her face. I was devastated when Pebble died suddenly and unexpectedly of kidney failure only aged five, and there was no cure or information on the cause. This is why 10% of all proceeds go towards the charity PetSavers, to fund research into pet diseases such as kidney failure.

I understand the extreme sadness felt when losing a dog, and also how special they are as a companion and so I love producing beautiful commissions as a wonderful keepsake of your friend. I use the highest quality pencils to create detailed realistic portraits and montages, as well as needle-felted dogs and sculptures. If you have any ideas about how your would like to see your dog incorporated in art, please contact me as I would be happy to see what I can do. I look forward to replicating your dog in whichever form you choose as a wonderful way to celebrate your friend!
